Tune the lookMaterials
Glow
Soft halos around every dot and stroke.
Glow adds light around the pattern: stacked translucent copies (the classic neon look) or one real Gaussian blur per element. Use it to make a visual feel lit rather than printed, especially on dark themes.

Cost and low power
Glow is the most expensive material: stacked mode multiplies the element count, blur mode adds blur work. It's the first thing low power turns off, and an FX Spec can shed it explicitly (disable: ["glow"], or "blur" to keep the halos but drop the blur).
Additive blend is a dark-theme look: added light is invisible on a light background.
Props
Layered or blurred halos around every dot and stroke. In an FX Spec: /materials/glow. Off until glow.strength is above 0.
| Prop | FX Spec | Type | Range | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
glow.blend | /materials/glow/blend | choice: normal · additive | 0 | Normal or additive halos (additive is a dark-theme look). | |
glow.hue | /materials/glow/hue | number | 0–360 deg | 200 | Hue of the halo tint. |
glow.layers | /materials/glow/layers | integer | 1–8 | 4 | Stacked halo layers (stacked mode). Only while glowMode is 0. |
glow.mode | /materials/glow/mode | choice: stacked · blur | 0 | Stacked translucent copies, or one Gaussian-blurred halo per element. | |
glow.radius | /materials/glow/radius | number | 1–8 (UI 1.05–6) x | 2.5 | Halo size as a multiple of the element. |
glow.strength | /materials/glow/strength | number | 0–1 fraction | 0 | Amount of glow; 0 turns the material off. Also accepted: glowStrength. |
glow.tint | /materials/glow/tint | number | 0–1 fraction | 0 | How far the halo moves toward the tint hue (0 = the element's own colour). |
